HIGH SCHOOL: DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS

March 25, 2019

Pay to participate fees for Spring sports are due now.  If you are playing a spring sport you must pay $175 prior to your first official contest.  If you have questions concerning pay to participate fees, please see Mr. Evans or Mrs. Feliciano.

Volleyball is hosting open gyms from 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday evenings.  They are open to all MS and HS students interested in playing volleyball this fall.

Congratulations to the middle school band students who participated in solo and ensemble contest on Saturday. Receiving the highest rating of superior were:  Maggie Edmonds - bass clarinet solo, Toni Patterson - clarinet solo, Olivia Nixon - flute solo, Autumn Parry - snare drum solo, Emily Buckley - snare drum solo, Bailey Schumacher - French horn solo, Emily Buckley - bell solo, Lily Dennis - Euphonium solo, and Riley McKeska - trumpet solo. Receiving the second highest rating of excellent were: Percussion Ensemble of Emily Buckley, Henry Poor, and Autumn Parry, Karlee Parry - flute solo, Autumn Parry - xylophone solo, and Elsie Kuhlwein - tenor saxophone solo. Great job everyone!

The ACHS Drama Club invites you to their performance of Clue: On Stage.  Join us for a classic murder mystery based on the famous board game (and movie). Performances are March 29th & 30th at 7 p.m. (doors open at 6). Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance from Ms. Williams. General admission tickets are $8, discounted tickets are $5 (students, staff, senior citizens).

Congratulations to the high school band on their performance at District Band Contest on Friday. The band received the second highest rating possible in Class B. This is the first time in over 20 years that the AC band has competed in Class B. Great job!

The Pep Bus deadline to sign up has been extended until noon TODAY.  Please sign up with and pay $4 to Mrs. Feliciano in the high school office.  Your $4 includes the price of your ticket, your bus trip, and free pizza prior to leaving for the game.

SPORTS
Official High School Boys and Girls Track practice will begin today, March 4th from 3:15 until 5:15.

Any high school student bringing a non AC guest to the Snow Ball on March 9th needs to turn in the guest form today, March 1st! If you don't turn in this form, your guest will not be allowed in the dance!

Parent Teacher Conferences are Thursday, March 7th & Tuesday, March 12th from 5:00-8:30 pm.  Mr. Hinton and Ms. Saunders will also be taking appointments to discuss scheduling for next year.  To schedule a conference, please email Mrs. Philiopoulos.

GUIDANCE
8th-10th Grade Students: Scheduling for next year will take place during the following times:
    10th grade students will schedule today, March 1st during rotations.
    9th grade students will schedule Monday, March 4th during rotations.
    8th grade students will schedule Tuesday, March 5th during Mrs. Ball's class.

8th-11th grade students: if you are interested in being a CCP student for the 2019-2020 school year, please submit a letter of intent to Ms. Saunders by April 1st. These forms are located in the high school office or on our school website - click here.

SPORTS
Official High School Boys and Girls Track practice will begin on Monday, March 4th from 3:15 until 5:15.

MUSIC/BAND
The Winter Band Concert is on Tuesday, March 5th at 7:00 pm in gym #1. The concert will feature 6th Grade Band, Middle School Band, High School Jazz Band, and the High School Concert Band. Come out and support the bands!

The Winter Choir Concert is on Wednesday, March 6th at 7:00 pm.

CLUBS/ORGANIZATIONS
The Governor’s Art Show is Saturday, March 2nd in the Cafetorium.

There is a FCS meeting Wednesday, March 6th at 11:50 in room 1706.

There is an Academic Challenge Competition on Wednesday, March 6th at 3:30 pm at Granville.
