Notice of Board Members Vacancy

The Amanda-Clearcreek Board of Education seeks applicants to fill two (2) expired terms of board members which become vacant on January 1, 2026.

The board will begin interviewing candidates soon and must name a replacement within 30 days of the vacancy occurring.  The newly appointed member will serve until January 1, 2028.  If the appointed member desires to continue serving, he or she must run in the next general election.

Those interested in serving on the Amanda-Clearcreek Board of Education should contact Kari Karshner, kkarshner@amanda.k12.oh.us for an application.  Applications are also available on the district’s website. Applications are due to Kari Karshner either by email, USPS or hand delivery by 3:00 pm on Monday, December 1, 2025.

According to Ohio law, people serving on Ohio school boards must be district residents, registered voters in the district and at least 18 years old.

The Amanda-Clearcreek Board of Education will review all applications, interview candidates and decide on the replacement to be sworn in at the 2026 organizational meeting.
